About & Contact

My name is Hannah Davies, and I am a freelance journalist with nearly five years experience of writing about publishing for book industry mag The Bookseller. While the day job has now changed and sees me working for a national reading and writing charity called Booktrust, in my spare time I’m still taking on journalism commissions. Literature remains a key topic of coverage, but I’ve also expanded my repetoire to include fashion and lifestyle, which is where this little blog comes in.

Consumer Cravings covers all those things I covet, from clothes to cushions and armchairs to accessories. Its purpose is part wish-list (just in case some philanthropic benefactor decides to grant all my wishes) and partly an attempt to curb my shopping addiction. The idea is that if I write about the things I want, maybe I won’t need to buy them. The logic has certainly proved flawed over the last year, but at least by giving it a try, I’m making my Mum happy. Thanks for the visit and happy reading and/or shopping.

P.S. If you would like to make any comments/suggestions about my blog (or indeed offers to buy me items from my wish list!) please email me. Or, if you are after more information regarding my journalism work at The Bookseller/ in a freelance capacity, please visit my online portfolio.

    Hannah,

Great blog, have you checked out Nick Munro (British Furniture designer) quite retro things. I love his dining table.
